Town of Flora Has Creative Way to Seek Input

Walk into the Town of Flora offices at 4 E. Main Street and you will be greeted by an interesting poster that seeks your input and ideas to help the town.  This is all a part of the Community Input & Review Process leading to a comprehensive plan.

There is a saying “Feedback is the Breakfast of Champions” and that is exactly what this poster is seeking.  The comprehensive plan process included seeking community input at the Garden and Craft Fair last Saturday April 27 from 9AM to 1PM.

Flora has a population of 2,110 according to the 2022 census.  Flora is home to Carroll Consolidated School Corporation, has a well appointed community park which includes the 4-H fairgrounds, ball fields, playgrounds, and numerous buildings.  The Carroll County Community Center is located at the East edge of town and is home to many businesses and restaurants, churches, senior housing and home of the famous “Hog Jog” held every  Fathers Day Weekend.

Flora also has an airport located west of town, a Community Club, Rotary, Lion, and other community-oriented groups.

It will be interesting to watch and follow the development of Flora’s Comprehensive Plan and response to all the input the process is receiving.
