Rossville Board of Education Ratifies New Teacher Contract for 23-24 School Year

The Rossville Consolidated School District Board of Education has announced the ratification of a new teacher contract for the 2023-2024 school year.

During a special session held on October 10, the Board voted unanimously to approve a new one-year contract, solidifying terms that will significantly benefit the dedicated educators within the district. The new contract includes a 3% salary increase for all qualifying teachers and raises the starting salary to $44,000, establishing this as the new base pay for any full-time teachers.

Under this updated contract, the salary range for Rossville teachers will now span between $44,000 and $76,355, providing an attractive compensation package to existing and potential educators. The Board recognizes the importance of competitive compensation in attracting and retaining high-quality teachers, and this step is aligned with their commitment to academic excellence.

Additionally, the Board approved an increase in the employee’s insurance contribution, further enhancing the overall compensation package for Rossville Consolidated School District teachers.
