The Town and Country State tournament kicks off this week, including face offs tonight, Tuesday, July 2 for the youth league all star teams throughout Clinton County, Carroll County, Boone County and other surrounding counties.
8U:
Eight 8U teams will face off in a double-elimination tournament spanning July 2 through July 7 as they vie for the opportunity to claim the district champion title and advance to the Flora Semi-State. All games will occur at Rossville for the District III tournament.
Tonight, July 2, the Rossville team will take on Western Boone at 6:30 p.m. while Tri-Central and Clinton Prairie face off at 6:30 p.m. with the winners advancing in the winners bracket on Friday, July 5 beginning at 6:45 p.m. in Rossville for game 7.
On Wednesday, Sheridan Myers will face off against Hamilton heights at 6:30 p.m. while Russiaville faces off against Sheridan Hobson at 6:30 p.m. in Rossville with the winners facing off against each other on Friday, July 5 at 6:45 p.m. also in Rossville for game 8.
The winners of game 7 and game 8 will advance to a game on Saturday, July 6 at 1 p.m., and the winner will face off against the winner of the losers’ bracket on Sunday, July 7 at 2:30 p.m. for the District Champion title.
The top five teams of the tournament will advance to the Flora Semi-State tournament.
10U:

Tonight, July 2, the Michigantown team will face off against Flora at 6 p.m. while Rossville will face Lapel at 7:45 p.m. with the winners advancing to the next round in the winners bracket with a game set for Friday, July 5 at 5:45 p.m. for game 7.
On Wednesday, Clinton Prairie will face off against Western Boone at 6 p.m. while Delphi faces off against Frankfort at 7:45 p.m. with the winners advancing to the next game on Friday, July 5 at 7:30 p.m. for game 8.
