Senior Olympics Getting Ready for 25h Anniversary Starting May 1

Day & Genda Funeral Homes is gearing up for a memorable edition of the Senior Olympics, celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year.

Owner Pat Day and the Day & Genda team are thrilled to announce that this year’s Opening Ceremonies, taking place May 1, will feature a torch relay through Frankfort. Indiana State Representative and former owner Mark Genda will start the relay and will pass the torch onto seniors who have participated in almost every Senior Olympics for the last 25 years. Mayor Judy Sheets will complete the relay to Paul Phillippe Resource Center. The relay will kick off from the Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. and is expected to finish by 1 p.m. at Paul Phillippe. Individuals are welcome to join the walking relay or gather on the relay route to celebrate!

To cap off the Opening Ceremonies, there will be refreshments and a short celebration at Paul Phillippe Resource Center before launching into the annual first event, Team Trivia.
