Clinton County broke ground this morning on a new Annex Building on the corner of Main and Washington Streets in Frankfort.
Construction on the new three-story, 41,925-square-foot County Annex building is scheduled to start in a couple weeks. The developer hopes to be done in late September or early October of 2024. All county offices that do not pertain to courts will move into the new space. The Old Courthouse will continue to house court-related offices.
“I’m really excited about the Annex,” said Brewer. “I’m excited that it will be a staple in this community for the next 50 to 100 years. It will continue with the revitalization of the downtown. I think it (the Annex) will help of our local businesses that will be corner piece along with our historic courthouse.”
