The Frankfort Parks Department released its upcoming movies slated for the 2024 Movie in the Park
Series coming this summer.
All movies will premiere at Prairie Creek Park in downtown Frankfort on Friday evenings at dusk with free popcorn and more. The movies will kick off with “Elemental” on Friday, June 7, followed by “Wonka” on July 12, “Aquaman 2” on Aug. 2, and finishing with “Coco” on Sept. 13.
The movies will be accompanied by a variety of treats from food trucks and will begin around 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. during the summer months and 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. during September as the Parks Department will wait until the sun has almost set for the movie to start. LARGE Sound DJ LLC will be supplying the jumbo screen and sound during the events.
The Frankfort Parks Department will also be sharing updates and tidbits about every movie on the Frankfort Parks Department Facebook page throughout the series.
“We cannot wait to see you all at Prairie Creek Park, we know everyone will enjoy the movies this year,” the department released. “Stay tuned throughout the season. We will be posting the movie trailers and details of what food trucks will attend.”
