Flora Fire Pizza Celebrates Grand Opening At New Location

Community members celebrate the soft grand opening on Tuesday.

A local Flora business has just reopened its doors after relocating to a larger space to accommodate its growing clientele and provide more services for the community.

The Fire Pizza in Flora opened its doors and celebrated its grand opening today, April 25, at 2 S. Center St. in Flora. Owners Tami Wood and Bo Wood celebrated alongside the community on Tuesday evening for a soft grand opening of the new location situated directly across from their previous location in the downtown area of Flora, and the community flocked to the new location today to relish in the opportunities that the location has to offer.

According to the owners, the new location will have increased dining spaces for customers to enjoy themselves and bond with family and friends while enjoying a hometown slice of pizza, tacos, garlic cheese bread and much more. Co-Owner Bo Wood shared more about the grand opening and the opportunities that lie ahead for the business during a “live” video as the team prepared for the grand opening today.

“This building here across the street from our old building is open today,” Wood said. “You’ll come in, you’ve got some options on dining, we changed the layout around a little bit.”

The new location, which is situated in the building where Jeffrey’s was previously located, sits along the intersection of Center and Main in the downtown area for quick and easy access for community members.

Wood shared more about the set-up, stating that the new location will allow them to serve beer and wine as they develop, but the alcoholic beverages will not be available immediately.

“We’ve got the arcade room, some dining in here, pool table, TVs and new bar,” Wood said. “We’re not serving beer yet, but you’re more than welcome to come and sit down.”

Fire Pizza in Flora will continue to serve its delicately-made and hometown pizzas, including gluten-free options such as the 10-inch cauliflower crust, alongside new and innovative favorites, such as the tacos and breadsticks.

Community members have flocked to social media to rave about Fire Pizza, offering suggestions for the new venue, such as utilizing areas of the business for live acoustics and parties. The restaurant does not require reservations, and the seating acts on a “first come, first serve” basis.
