Purdue Extension of Clinton County has announced the upcoming Fall Prevention Program: A Matter of Balance that intends to provide community members with concerns about falls with information and resources to help them.
The program is intended for anyone concerned about falls, anyone interested in improving balance, flexibility and strength, anyone who has fallen in the past and anyone who has restricted activities because of falling.
During the program, participants will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home and exercise to increase strength and balance.
The cost for the program is $25, and there is limited space, so community members are encouraged to register at cvent.me/XqZK1z.
The program will be held at the Michigantown Christian Church from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays from May 8 through June 26.
