Local Athletes Receive Girls’ Basketball All-State Honors

The Indiana Basketball Coaches Association announced the IBCA/Franciscan Health Girls All State Teams on Thursday.

The IBCA/Franciscan Health “Supreme 15” All-State honors 15 seniors and 15 underclass girls’ basketball players for 2024-25. The IBCA also named Large School (4A and 3A) All-State teams (15 seniors, 15 underclass) and Small School (2A and 1A) All-State teams (15 seniors, 15 underclass) as well as honorable mentions.

Three local athletes received All-State Honors; Carly Davison, Jillian Salts and Ava Burkle.

 

Carly Davison – Clinton Central

Davison was named to the Small School Underclassmen All-State team. The junior guard averaged 19.6 points per game, 7.2 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.2 steals. Davison eclipsed the 1000 point mark in her junior season and led the Bulldogs to a 17-6 record.

 

Ava Burkle – Rossville

Burkle was named a Small School Underclassmen Honorable Mention. The Hornet junior averaged a double-double with 15.4 points and 10.2 rebounds while also contributing 3.1 assists and 3.1 steals. Burkle helped the Hornets get to the Sectional Championship game and finish with a 15-9 record.

 

Jillian Salts – Carroll

Salts was named a Small School Underclassmen Honorable Mention. The junior forward stepped up to help lead Carroll to a Sectional Championship and a 19-8 record. Salts averaged 14.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
