The City of Frankfort Street Department is gearing up for spring with Operation Spring Clean-Up, a week-long event offering residents the opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items. Residents must show identification at the gate upon arrival at the Street Department, 905 Burlington Avenue.
The clean-up will take place from Monday, April 29 to Friday, May 3 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and conclude on Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.
“We’re excited to once again offer Operation Spring Clean-Up to help residents clear out their homes and garages,” said Jason Forsthye, Street Superintendent for the City of Frankfort. “This is a great opportunity to get rid of unwanted items and keep our community looking its best.”
Residents of the City of Frankfort can drop off two pickup truckloads of bulk items including large items (couches, mattresses, box springs, appliances, carpet, chairs, dressers, and TV’s)
NOT Accepted:
- NO TIRES
- NO REMODELING/BUILDING MATERIALS
- NO LUMBER
- NO CONCRETE
- NO DRYWALL
- NO ROOFING SHINGLES
In addition to Operation Spring Clean-Up, The Farmers Bank will be offering a Community Shred Day on Saturday, May 4 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at their downtown branch location.
