Carroll County 4-H Seeks Livestock Mentors For Youth K-2nd Grade

The Carroll County Purdue Extension Office has invited community members to become a 4-H livestock mentor for youth between the ages of Kindergarten and 2nd grade who are seeking to participate in 4-H this year.

Mentors should be ready to positively mentor mini 4-Hers with scheduled days for youth to practice with their animal before the fair. As well, mentors are eligible to attend the Junior Leader Livestock Showmanship clinic.

Mentors will be able to meet new people, share their passion, help grow the program, strengthen their communication skills, grow their leadership skills, teach animal agriculture and have fun.

Prospective mentors should email Gretchen at gblackbu@purdue.edu to be added to the list.

Youth are expected to be paired by May 17.
