Rossville High School students are striving in academics, athletics, and activities during the first quarter of the year. From classrooms to after-school programs, students have shown their dedication and effort to contribute to success both academically inside the building and outside.
Students of all grade levels have participated in events, projects, and activities designed to challenge their skills. Many have earned recognition through their performances, while others are reaching personal goals and milestones. “It’s not always easy to keep up with everything, but the results in the end make it so much more worth it,” senior Reese Howard said.

Academic work continues to be a foundation for student achievements. With projects, tests, and assignments, students are always finding ways to push themselves forward. Teachers show that many are meeting expectations while also going beyond what is expected and required. “I spend extra time preparing for things because I want to feel ready for later on and after high school,” junior Leif Eller said.
Athletic teams and extracurricular groups are also contributing factors to this start of the year. We’ve recently had an FCA event called “See you at the pole,” a global day of student prayer that occurred on September 24th. Practices, competitions, and performances have given students opportunities to grow and work together. These have produced accomplishments while also building teamwork and school spirit.
As the school year continues, students are preparing for upcoming challenges and opportunities, such as college tuition. Seniors are focused on graduation and postsecondary plans, while younger, underclassmen students are setting their goals for the future. With each step, students are showing that achievements take many forms and continue to shape the identity of Rossville High School.
