Boone County Chamber Annual Breakfast Showcased Rapid Growth

The Boone County Chamber held its annual member breakfast at the new Hussey-Mayfield Public Library in Whitestown Wednesday morning.  The venue has changed in recent years to accommodate rapid Chamber growth.

The Chamber Breakfast celebrated  Boone County Chamber’s 2024 accomplishments. Two new board members were elected for the coming year. Additionally,  the Boone County Chamber is transitioning from a fiscal October-September calendar to a January-December calendar year.

Membership Revenue for the Boone County Chamber increased from $128,585 to $190,715.  

Cash Balance for the Boone County Chamber increased from $139,974 (October 2023) to $168,521 (September 2024)

Executive Director Sean Reaves outlined several new or ongoing Chamber initiatives:

  • LEAD/06: Is a partnership between The Community Foundation of Boone County and the Boone County Chamber of Commerce. This program is designed to elevate leadership within the community by combining the expertise and resources of both organizations to offer a comprehensive suite of leadership development programs. LEAD/06 will include leadership training, professional development workshops and networking events.  Applications open in first half of November 2024.  For more information go to: www.communityfoundationbc.org/lead-06.
  • Off the Clock’ is a free networking event held on the fourth Thursday of every month at different area businesses being showcased.  If your business is interested in hosting this monthly networking event, contact the Chamber. The next ‘Off the Clock’ networking event will be held November 21st from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at Bill Estes Chevrolet Buick GMC. The November meeting is scheduled a week earlier than normal due to Thanksgiving Holiday on November 28th.
  • Marketers Meet-Up” is an opportunity for marketers to learn from fellow marketers.  “Marketers Meet-Up” normally meets on the Fourth Thursdays from 8AM to 9:30 AM.  Registration is required (EventBrite).  November’s meeting will held with the Brownsburg group due to Thanksgiving.  Click Here for More
  • Culinary Collective’ is a program sponsored by Ideal Food Group. ‘Culinary Collective’  offers informational sessions, educational content and networking opportunities tailored for individuals in the food services sector and businesses servicing the food industry.  There is a $125 joining fee for this group that usually meets monthly March through November.
  • Women in Business is a virtual exchange opportunity for Women in Business. This program offers a variety topics for tailored for Women in business.  The next meeting will be held virtually on Thursday November 7th from 2 to 3:15. Topic will be ‘Boundaries in the Workplace’.  
  • Other engagement opportunities include the “Top Tier Cocktail Hour” Networking invite only for Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Partner level Chamber Members.  This group meets twice each year.
  • Executive Exchange” is a monthly meeting over coffee for Business and Industry professionals. The business oriented topic is generated and moderated by Bob Patton. Attendees can expect a free flow exchange of ideas and solutions for business.   Applications are open for this group opening in mid-November with the application window open through mid December. The group is necessarily capped at 15.  
  •  Founder Program is a speaker series designed for Small business owners and non-profit executives.  Topics include new HR laws and a variety of other topics valuable to Chamber members. Founder programs are held quarterly and no application is needed.  Venue moves around county. Chamber newsletter will have more information as needed. 

The breakfast was sponsored by GXO, an American global logistics company managing supply chains and warehousing.  GXO shared background and information about the three Boone County GXO locations.
