One of the many requirements for Eagle Scout Rank is to identify, finance, plan, lead and construct a project that benefits the community. Eagle Scout Candidate Maddox Culp with Boy Scout Troop 336 of Mulberry chose to reconstruct the bird observation area at the Camp Cullom Nature Center.
Maddox led his troop in completing the project this month. The project includes application of a one-way mirrored glass on two observation windows so birds can not see the visitors behind the glass in the observation area.
Camp Cullom is a 90 acre Camp owned by the children of Clinton County. The Camp includes over 12 acres of Prairie Grass, two ponds, over 5 miles of marked trails, an Astronomical Observatory, a 24 hole disc golf course and many camp sites, a lodge, nature center, play ground and much more.
