The Burlington Community Library has announced that community members may schedule their appointment to take advantage of free tax filing options available for those with a household income of $84,000 or less.
The opportunity allows for community members who qualify to utilize a free tax preparation service through United Way where professionals will help community members file their own return or receive assistance with filing their return to ensure they get the refund they need.
Appointments may be scheduled by calling 765-237-9497. Appointments will be scheduled for April 1 during the 9 a.m. through 12 p.m. time frame at the Burlington Library at 101 W. Seventh St. in Burlington.
Participants should bring their social security cards, photo ID, all tax documents and bank routing and account number.
The free tax preparation does not provide assistance for farm income, cryptocurrency or rental income.
