Clinton County Student Wins Association of Indiana Counties Essay Contest

The Association of Indiana Counties (AIC) and Financial Services Group, Inc.  have named a local fourth grader as the National County Government Month essay contest winner for the AIC’s West Central District.

Grayson Brewer’s essay was chosen over entries from other fourth graders across the district. Brewer, a student at Clinton Prairie Elementary, received $100 for winning the contest. One winner was chosen in each of the AIC’s six districts.

This year’s theme was “Your Favorite Indiana Governor.” Essays were judged on how well students focused on their favorite Governor of Indiana and the information they provided.

Brewer was awarded the prize on March 19th during the AIC West Central District Meeting in Putnam County. The meeting also included a synopsis of the 2024 Indiana Legislative Session by AIC legislative staff.

The Association of Indiana Counties, Inc. is a nonprofit organization established in 1957 for the betterment of county government.  The various functions of the AIC include lobbying the Indiana General Assembly on behalf of counties, serving as liaison among counties, state and federal agencies as well as providing technical assistance and training to county officials and employees. www.indianacounties.org.
