You can watch the entire Ag Day 2024 program that was broadcast today on Hoosierland TV, WILO 96.9, WILO 1570 and Boone 102.7.

We are celebrating Agriculture today with a look at the glories of the agricultural field and the tribulations farmers may face, WILO 96.9 FM, Boone 102.7 FM, 1570 AM and HoosierlandTV will host Ag Day conversations on March 20.

Programming has been brought to the community by Brock Grain Systems, The Farmers Bank, Wilson Farm Market, Truland Equipment, Home National Bank, Wamplers Services, Inc. and Ivy Tech Community College.

Kicking off the programming directly following Party Line will be Adam Shanks with Purdue Extension speaking from 9:30 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. alongside WILO’s own Melissa Miller.

On the mic at 10 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. will be Drew Cripe, Vice President of Commerical/Ag Banking, and Jerad Stillwell, Loan Officer, of The Farmers Bank. The duo will be tasked with discussing the economic trends impacting local agricultural businesses and farmers in the region.

Listeners will not want to miss the discussion with Dave Carter, a producer of cover crops, from 10:30 a.m. to 10:55 a.m. as he discusses his experiences in the field.

Listeners may tune in for Agri Talk & Farm at Noon from 11 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. before transitioning back into the local talk with an esteemed line-up of guests.

George Madison, Agronomy Specialist for Keystone Cooperative, will bring the listeners back to the county from 12:05 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. with local talk about the industry.

Jennifer Wayt-Dunten, Grain Marketing at Kokomo Grain, will take a turn on the mic from 12:35 p.m. to 1 p.m. to further discuss the industry across the region.

Rounding out the Ag Day conversations will be a round table discussion regarding stress in agriculture from 1:05 p.m. to 1:55 p.m., headed by Jane Horner, Farm Stress Team for Purdue University, and Lorra Archibald, Healthy Communities of Clinton County Executive Director.
