Two Clinton County women were announced as members of the Lugar Series Class of 2024-2025 as they continue their journeys in the sphere of politics.
The Lugar Series was founded in 1990 with 624 graduates since its beginning. The series was designed to develop and train Republican women to be prepared to enter elected and appointed positions at the local, state and federal levels.
Through its competitive selection process, the series has invited the top candidates to participate in the leadership program, which is reportedly composed of distinguished women from various backgrounds and industries.
This year, it was announced that two Clinton County women would be a part of the Class of 2024-2025 during the 35th Lugar Series. Taylor Crenshaw and Krista Stillwell will join 18 other Hoosier women in the class with the opening ceremony set for Oct. 22.
“This is such an incredible opportunity, and I’m honored to be among this class of remarkable women,” Crenshaw wrote. “I can’t wait to take back all that I learn to my professional life and role as a public servant.”
Stillwell echoed Crenshaw’s sentiments as she shared the news, thanking Carol Price, Judy Sheets and Blair Englehart for their continued support for her participation in the series.
“When I received the initial contact that I had been chosen, I felt an immense excitement about what an amazing opportunity on which I am about to embark,” Stillwell wrote. “Not only am I looking forward to the amazing relationships I will form, but also such a unique opportunity to learn and grow as a civic advocate and communications professional along with skills that can directly go back to impacting my own local and regional community.”
