Clinton Prairie enters at 3-5 after a loss against Eastern.
Sheridan is 6-2 after taking down Carroll to close out the regular season.
The Gophers have had a balanced attack, passing for over 1200 yards and rushing for 1120.
Quarterbacks Gaige Kuzmicz and Brady Allen have kept opposing defenses on their toes. Kuzmicz has thrown seven touchdowns while Allen has accounted for five.
Sheridan’s offensive approach has been more one-dimensional, but it’s been tough to stop. The Blackhawks have rushed for over 2200 yards this season, with Alex Cravens and Hayden Alexander accounting for 700 yards each.
The Blackhawks are averaging 28.9 points per game and giving up 20.3. Clinton Prairie has put up 23.3 points per game while giving up 24.1.
The Gophers are led by fourth-year head coach Kurt Schlicher, who is 2-3 in Sectionals while at Clinton Prairie. Jake Chesney leads the Blakchawks in his first year after taking over for Bud Right. The Blackhawks have won three straight Sectionals.
