As part of the 12 Strays of Christmas holiday adoption special, Paw Pals of Clinton County Humane Society is showcasing 46 adorable cats and dogs, all with fully sponsored adoption fees from December 1–12. This is the perfect opportunity for families to find a new furry friend just in time for the holidays.
Today’s featured pet is Raya, a loving Cane Corso mix whose adoption fee has been completely covered for an approved application. Raya arrived at the shelter as a stray and has bravely battled a severe case of cherry eye in both eyes, undergoing two corrective surgeries. While her eyes may never be perfect, her spirit and energy are absolutely remarkable.
Raya is described as loyal, funny, and active. She walks well on a leash, bonds quickly with new people, and enjoys spending time in the yard — though she prefers not to be alone. She’ll happily run alongside another dog or keep company with someone nearby, making her a devoted companion for the right home.
“Raya has so much love to give,” shelter volunteers say. “Her perfect family just hasn’t found her yet.”
