The Indiana Department of Transportation released a project update on Tuesday, June 25 in regard to the State Road 26 project spanning Clinton County and Howard County, stating that the project is expected to conclude by the end of the summer.

The department stated that the State Road 26 project between State Road 29 and the Clinton County and Howard County, which has been under construction for the past few months, will see crews continue their work to improve drainage in the area and resurface the road with an expected end date for the project to be announced toward the end of the summer.

The department state that if weather conditions permit, the project is expected to be completed by the end of the summer, but conditions could delay the conclusion of the project to the fall.

The department issued a reminder for drivers to remain vigilant in the area as the road is solely open to local traffic and workers are present throughout the day.
