At approximately 10:22 a.m. Tuesday, the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and Lebanon Police Department were dispatched to a single vehicle traffic accident with entrapment. The accident occurred in the North 4500 block of US 52.
Upon arrival, first responders located a silver 2010 Buick Lucerne, occupied by Crystal Crowder, 43, of Crawfordsville, and a front seat passenger, whose name is being withheld until contact is made with family members. Crowder was able to self-extricate herself from the vehicle before first responders arrived. The passenger was ejected from the vehicle and trapped underneath the vehicle.
The passenger was transported to a local hospital with serious bodily injuries. Crowder was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. This incident is under investigation and updates will be provided when available.
