Runella Ann Hufford, 82, Rossville, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. She was born September 6, 1940, in Logansport to Floyd Lawrence and Dorothy Flossie (Deardorff) Blocher. She married Donald Lee Hufford on August 23, 1959, and he survives.
Runella was a 1958 graduate of Flora High School. She was baptized on June 15, 1958. She was a member of the Middlefork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. She enjoyed gardening and decorating cakes. She had a servant’s heart and lived a life of service and love. Above all, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them and taking care of her grandchildren.
Along with her husband of 63 years, Runella is survived by her children, Sheryl Wray, Susan (David) Wagoner, Stephen (LouAnna) Hufford, Sharon (Todd) Chupp, and Sandra Hufford; brother, Marion (Beulah) Blocher; brother-in-law, Richard (Waneta) Hufford; sister-in-law, Darlene Wolf; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Evans, Gayle Wray, Aaron Wagoner, Brent (Kara) Wagoner, Mark (Katrina) Wagoner, Rodney (Emma) Hufford, Rachel (Jaryl) Flora, Matthew (Ada) Hufford, Miranda Hufford, Nicole (Andrew) Jamison, Ashley Chupp, Bradley (Laura) Chupp; and 20 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Alpha and Dorothy (Yoder) Hufford; son-in-law, Lawrence Albert Wray; grandson, Andrew Wray; infant great grandson, Nathaniel Hufford; and brother-in-law, Gerald Wolf.
Visitation will be held, Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 2-5pm and 6-8pm at Middlefork Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, 10am, at the church with burial to follow at Middlefork Cemetery. Genda Funeral Home ~ Rossville Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
