Rossville Wins County Girls’ Golf Tournament

The Rossville Hornets girls’ golf team took first place in the County Golf Tournament held at the Frankfort Commons course last Thursday, Sep. 12.

Rossville won with a team score of 208, beating out Clinton Central, who scored 222, and Clinton Prairie, who finished with a score of 250. Due to darkness, the tournament was shortened to nine holes.

Rossville’s Phoebe Terry took first place with the lowest individual score.

The all-county team consisted of Phoebe Terry (Rossville), Chloe Darnell (Rossville), Kyndra Brown (Rossville), Addison Miller (Clinton Prairie), and Hannah Jacobs (Clinton Central).

Sectional play begins Monday at nine a.m. All three schools will travel to the Coyote Crossing Golf Course in West Lafayette. The teams competing in that sectional are Carroll (Flora), Clinton Central, Clinton Prairie, Delphi Community, Faith Christian, Harrison (West Lafayette), Lafayette Central Catholic, Lafayette Jefferson, McCutcheon, Rossville, and West Lafayette.
