The Rossville Consolidated School District Board of Education approved a seven percent (7%) salary increase for teachers at their meeting on October 11. The contract also raised the beginning teacher’s salary from $41,000 to $43,000. Teachers’ salaries for the 2022-2023 school year will range from $43,000 to $74,270.
The new contract also increased the district’s contribution to health insurance. This increase, along with low insurance premium increases, will result in less cost for most single plan participants.
The Board expressed appreciation to the negotiation team members for their work in a quick resolution to contract talks. The contract will be for the 2022-2023 school year.
