Rossville, Central, Carroll, Lebanon Seniors Receive Keystone Scholarships

Keystone Cooperative, Inc. announced the 54 recipients of its $1,000 scholarship program for 2024, which presented scholarships to high school seniors with an interest in agriculture and community service.

The scholarships are geared toward aiding high school seniors with an interest in agriculture pursue their dreams of further education while also empowering the seniors to continue their involvement within the community, and two Clinton Central students, one Rossville student, one Carroll student and one Lebanon student were amongst the recipients.

Keystone stated that while the commitments may have been separately made by the two legacy organizations, Ceres Solutions and Co-Alliance, the students were continued to be considered when the merger was enacted to form Keystone Cooperative. Keystone CEO Kevin Still noted that the focus of investing in rural youth is paramount to ensuring the continued growth of the agricultural field.

“You’ll find the future is bright and encouraging when considering the potential of these students,” Still said. “We are proud to deliver this support for students of this caliber so that they can in turn be productive citizens of our rural communities and eventually the workforce. Congratulations to the class of 2024.”

Applicants for the scholarships were selected based on their academic performance, extra-curricular involvement and passion for agriculture.
