Rosemary “Rosie” Martin, 85, of rural Frankfort, passed away January 8, 2026 at Witham Hospital, Lebanon, Indiana. She was born June 15, 1940 in Crawfordsville, IN to Dale & Marjorie (Armantrout) Hendricks. She married Harvey Eugene Martin on December 15, 1979 and he preceded her in death on January 1, 2024.
Rosie was a 1958 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, lived in Crawfordsville until 1964, Lafayette for 10 years before moving to Clinton County. She had worked for R.R. Donnelly in Crawfordsville, Carnation in Kokomo and Kauffman Engineering in Lebanon prior to retiring on September 5, 2003. She was a member of Assembly of God in Kirklin. Rosie was an avid Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever Fan.
Rosie is survived by her children, Sandy (Ron) Mitchell of Frankfort, Donald Wayne VanCourt of Lafayette, Marda (Don) Hale of Frankfort, Brian VanCourt of St. Petersburg, FL, step-daughters, Linda Hendrickson and Jodee (Harley) Babb, both of Frankfort, Terri (Rick) Dean of rural Frankfort, Kim Ashlock of Michigantown, step-son, Sonny (Angie) Martin of Thorntown, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Jerry Dale VanCourt and a brother, Bobby Dale Hendricks, daughter, Scherrie O’Connor, daughter-in-law, Donita VanCourt, sons-in-law, Don Hale, Gilbert Hendrickson, grandson, Gibby Hendrickson and great-grandson, Jaydn Roberts.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12 Noon, Friday, January 16, 2026 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will begin at 12 Noon on Friday at the funeral Home.
