The community has been invited to attend a retirement celebration in honor of Town of Mulberry Clerk-Treasurer Paula Bennett as she prepares to enter a journey in her life following 17 years of service to the community in her role.
The celebration will take place on April 10 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mulberry Park Pavilion at 631 Gas Line Rd. in Mulberry, and the entire community is invited to attend.
In the 17 years that Bennett served as the Clerk-Treasurer, the Town of Mulberry has been awarded a total of $9,744,528.14 in grant money to continue improvement projects and the betterment of Mulberry.
During the Wednesday, Dec. 4 meeting of the Mulberry Town Board, long-time Clerk-Treasurer Paula Bennett announced her retirement from the position, leaving a lasting legacy in the town and a vacancy in the elected position.
Bennett released a sentiment to the community following her announcement of retirement.
“I have had the pleasure of serving the past 17 years as your town clerk treasurer,” Bennett said. “The time that I have devoted to the town has been memorable, and I appreciate the support that I have received. Thank you to the Town of Mulberry, and I wish everyone the best of luck in the future.”
Bennett achieved her re-election in November 2023 after running opposed in the General Election.
