Pursuit Leads to Recovery of Stolen Vehicle

On November 19, 2025, one individual was arrested after leading an Indiana State Police Trooper on a pursuit in Howard County.

Yesterday, shortly after 2:00 am, ISP Sergeant Kyle Miller was patrolling near the intersection of Main Street and Markland Avenue in Kokomo, Indiana, when he noticed a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette with its headlights not illuminated. The driver was later identified as 19-year-old Tywaune A. Tucker from Kokomo, IN. Sgt. Miller attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, Mr. Tucker disregarded a red light and fled at high speeds.

The pursuit continued north on Main Street to Harrison Street, where the Corvette left the roadway and struck a brick wall. Tucker was taken into custody without incident, and no injuries were reported as a result of the crash.

Further investigation revealed that Tucker had accessed an unoccupied nearby residence, where the Corvette was located. He was subsequently incarcerated at the Howard County Jail.

As a result of the pursuit and subsequent investigation, the preliminary charges against him are as follows:

– Burglary – Level 4 Felony
– Residential Entry – Level 6 Felony
– Theft of a Vehicle – Level 6 Felony
– Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle – Level 6 Felony
– Operating a Vehicle Without a License – Class C Misdemeanor

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
