Progress on the Square: Count the Ways

The summer of ‘24 will be remembered as a season of great progress around the Frankfort Square.

The transformation continues to crown the progress already made in the last few years in the downtown Clinton County Seat.

Prior Progress:

  • Ellis Jewelry’s Renovation
  • Taylor Construction and Renovation of the 1885 Building next to Ellis
  • Old Stoney Renovation and Rehab
  • Prairie Creek Park and The Farmers Bank Entertainment Center
  • Nickel Plate Flats Residences
  • Ivy Tech/ Career Tech Center Campus with Kaspar Hall on the Davidson Campus
  • Jill Snyder’s Renovation on the Southwest corner of the square down to 51 West interior and exterior renovation
  • Tony Del Real Renovation on North Side of Square
  • Other community-minded initiatives improving the downtown look and feel

So now this summer, here is evidence of progress to continue the momentum already underway.  Like so many things in life…it takes some pain to see the gain.

Big things are happening inside this building. Clinton County Chamber’s Iron Block building is currently installing an elevator and several offices on the second level. A beautiful conference room overlooking the square is part of the plan.
Courthouse renovation is underway on interior and exterior of the Clinton County Court House
Lehnen’s Furniture is “Putting on the Ritz” on the Square’s West Side.
Exciting things happening this week at the new location for Clinton County offices on the Square’s North side.
The Farmers Bank transforms its Home Office Location on the South side of the Frankfort Square
