Sunny skies and comfortable temperatures will dominate Friday, with afternoon highs reaching around 79 degrees. A west-northwest breeze of 10 to 13 mph, with occasional gusts up to 18 mph, will provide pleasant conditions for outdoor activities.
Clear skies are expected Friday night as temperatures fall to around 60 degrees. Winds will become light and variable during the evening, setting the stage for another warm day on Saturday.
Saturday will feature abundant sunshine and warmer temperatures, with highs climbing to approximately 83 degrees. South-southwest winds of 5 to 11 mph will help usher in the warmer air, making for ideal conditions across the region during the daytime hours.
However, the weather pattern will begin to change Saturday night as the next storm system approaches. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected before 2 a.m., followed by a greater likelihood of showers and thunderstorms through the overnight hours and into early Sunday morning. Forecasters are calling for a 70 percent chance of precipitation, with rainfall totals generally ranging from one-tenth to one-quarter inch, though heavier amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
The unsettled weather is expected to continue into Sunday. Showers will likely persist during the morning before becoming more scattered throughout the afternoon. Some thunderstorms may also develop before conditions gradually improve later in the day. High temperatures will be cooler, reaching near 73 degrees. Northwest winds of 11 to 16 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph, will accompany the cooler air moving into the region.
By Sunday night, drier conditions are expected to return as skies become partly cloudy. Temperatures will cool considerably, dropping to around 53 degrees under light northwest winds.
