Peggy J. Irwin, 91, formerly of Frankfort, passed away September 10, 2024, in Panama City, Florida, where she had lived the past few years with her daughter.
Peggy was born on December 14, 1932, in Boone County, to Arlie and Mozelle (Skanks) Servies. She married the love of her life, Glen H. Irwin, Jr., on June 24, 1950, and he preceded her in death in 1987.
Living the majority of her life in Frankfort, Peggy attended Frankfort High School. Her career in manufacturing had her working at Peter Paul, P.R. Mallory, Jules Simon, National Cigar, and Carr Cabinet, before her retirement. She enjoyed working in the yard and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her two children, Rick (Tanya) Irwin of Kirklin, and Tammy (Carl Collins) Davis of Panama City, Florida; four grandchildren, Ashley (Scott) Walker, Zachary (Joanna) Brittain, Brandon (Rebecca) Irwin, and Alicia Emery; and 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Ed Servies.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 10am until the start of the funeral service at 12pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Shan Sheridan will officiate.
