Boone County is set to see a major boost in healthcare access as Parkview Health has revealed plans for a new $150 million hospital and medical office complex in Lebanon. The project will anchor Hickory Junction, the 350-acre mixed-use development near I-65 and State Road 39 that is already home to The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse and will soon feature Parkview Sports Medicine.
Parkview’s Lebanon hospital will be a 108,000-square-foot facility with 30 inpatient beds. It will include a 24/7 emergency department, surgical services, and a range of specialty care. A companion 30,000-square-foot medical office building will provide space for primary care, outpatient diagnostics, and a shared employer clinic.
“Boone County is growing quickly, and the availability of high-quality healthcare is essential to supporting its long-term growth,” said Dr. Greg Johnson, Parkview Health’s chief physician executive of growth markets. “We want to ensure families in Lebanon and the surrounding area can access advanced care close to home.”
Lebanon Mayor Matt Gentry called the announcement a milestone for the city. “This investment will bring expanded healthcare access and new options for residents throughout Boone County,” Gentry said.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with the hospital expected to open in the summer of 2028. Once complete, the project is anticipated to create more than 200 healthcare jobs in the community.
The Lebanon facility is part of Parkview Health’s broader growth strategy. The system recently opened a hospital in Logansport, announced two new facilities in Marion, and plans to break ground on another hospital in West Lafayette.
