NWS Issues Winter Weather Advisory From 4 a.m. Friday To 4 a.m. Saturday For Regions Including Boone, Clinton & Carroll Counties

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory that will be in effect from 4 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 through 4 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11 with chances for multiple inches of snow to accumulate in the region, including Carroll, Clinton, Boone and surrounding counties.

The winter weather advisory states that snow is expected with total snow accumulations in the region reaching between two and four inches throughout the timeframe set forth by the service in portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast, southwest and west central Indiana.

The impacts are expected to be that roads, especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous, and drivers should expect slippery road conditions that could impact the Friday morning commute across western portions of central Indiana and evening commutes for all of central Indiana.

According to the service, the higher-end snowfall totals will be more focused toward the south and southeast portions of central Indiana with gradually lower amounts toward the northwest.
