Murray A. Freeman, 63, of Frankfort, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at Franciscan Health Lafayette East. He was born in Moultrie, Georgia, on December 24, 1958, to Virginia (Brown) Freeman. He married Christina S. Atchley on April 30, 2016.
Murray worked for Fox Hauling and Conveying out of Lafayette, as a dump truck driver, for more than 25 years. He enjoyed horses, had a great sense of humor, was always joking around, but more importantly loved spending time with his family and friends. Murray had served his country in the Army and enjoyed his time serving and keeping in touch with his buddies that he served with.
Survivors include, his wife, Christina of Frankfort; mother, Virginia Freeman of Thomasville, Georgia; son, Wesley (Christina) Parker of Lebanon; daughters, Gina Rayburn of Lebanon and Miranda (Shane) Trenary of Lafayette; brothers, Michael Freeman of Pensacola, Florida and Morris Freeman of Nahunta, Georgia; sister, Reynia Hunnewell of Brunswick, Georgia; grandchildren, Erin (Alex) Ford, Jordan Lee, Cara Parker, Bennett Trenary, and Quentin Trenary; and a great granddaughter, Emerson Ford.
Visitation will from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral services will be at 11am on Thursday, October 27, 2022, also at Genda Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Whiteman Cemetery at Michigantown. Memorial contributions in Murray’s honor may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society.
