The Michigantown Volunteer Fire Department boasted a successful food drive during the first few weeks of March led by the department’s own Cohen Dunn.
The food drive kicked off on March 6 and March 9 with donations being accepted at the Michigantown Volunteer Fire Department, Angels of Beauty, Angry Donkey and The Farmers Bank.
Community members were encouraged to support the project by donating canned goods, such as fruits, vegetables and pasta, paper products, such as toilet paper, paper towels and paper plates, and boxed goods, such as rice, pasta and cereal.
After the first date of the food drive, the department had filled an entire table with items donated from the community, and after the second date, the table began to overflow with the generosity of the community donating goods for those in need.
