Michael Jack Brooks, 80, of rural Frankfort, died September 30, 2022 at his residence. He was born May 10, 1942 in Michigan to Jack & Peggy (Straugh) Brooks. He married Sherri Norris on August 23, 2005 and she survives.
Michael lived the majority of his life in Indianapolis before moving to Frankfort. He was a professional musician for over 25 years and his love was the organ and keyboard. He also owned J. Michael Brooks Photography for 50 years. Michael has won numerous awards with his art photography. He was affiliated with the Corinth Church in Brownsburg and ministered at Cedars of Lebanon Worship Center for 10 years. A pilot, he loved airplanes, photography, and his wood working shop where he refurnished antique furniture.
He is survived by his wife: Sherri Brooks of rural Frankfort, 3 sons: Michael Chris (Carrie) Brooks, Tim (Julie) Brooks and Vince (Beth) Brooks, 4 daughters: Tamara DePottey, Jordan (John) Wood, Danielle (Christopher) Williamson and Rachel (Raymond) Gray, brother: Lance Brooks, sister-in-Law: Janet Brooks, 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Terry Brooks and Sister, Darla Neva

A gathering of friends and family will be will be 2-3 p.m. October 15, 2022 at the Corinth Church, 6590 E CR 1000 N, Brownsburg, IN. A Celebration of Life will begin at 3 p.m. at the church.
