Marilyn Ann Jacobs, 90, of Frankfort, passed away January 2, 2025 at her home.  She was born February 26, 1934 in Frankfort to Woody W. & Thelma (Kuhns) Dupler.  She was married to Robert E. Sheets. She then married Gene G. Jacobs on December 26, 1981 and he preceded her death on June 23, 2003.

Marilyn was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School and attended IUK, where she continued her education in genealogy.  A lifelong Frankfort resident, she was a homemaker and worked at Surber Insurance Agency as a bookkeeper for a short time.  She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clinton County Genealogical Society, The Red Hat Society and was a volunteer at the Frankfort Community Public Library.  Marilyn was an artist in oils, pastels and sign painting.  Her other hobbies include, travel, reading and genealogy.

Marilyn is survived by daughter, Nina Marie (David) McCain of Medora, IN, sons, David R. (Jennifer) Sheets of St. Louis, MO, Mark A. (Leanna) Sheets of rural Frankfort, and Joseph B. (Judy) Sheets of Frankfort, grandchildren, Derek N. Douglass, Ashley N. (Travis) Robinson, Jed (Missy) Sheets, Jessica (Randy) Rector, Kristofer (Amy) Sheets, Dr. Nicholas (Kris) Sheets, Amber (Natalie) Sheets, Jordan (Shannon) Sheets, Jensen (Thomas) Quinn, Chase (Nicole) Kinsler,  step-children, Byron Jacobs, Deborah (Craig) Douglass, Cathy (Carl) Westerfield, Rebecca (Mark) Howe and Julia (Scott) Eimen and several grandchildren and step-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by a son, Peter M. Sheets, a daughter, Lou Anne Sheets, brother, Dr. Phil J. Dupler, half-sister, Georgia H. Arnold and half-brother, Harley H. Dupler.

Visitation will be 12 Noon~2 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Genealogy Dept. of the Frankfort Community Public Library, 208 W.
