Long-Time Mulberry Clerk-Treasurer Announces Retirement

During the Wednesday, Dec. 4 meeting of the Mulberry Town Board, long-time Clerk-Treasurer Paula Bennett announced her retirement from the position, leaving a lasting legacy in the town and a vacancy in the elected position.

Bennett released a sentiment to the community following her announcement of retirement.

“I have had the pleasure of serving the past 17 years as your town clerk treasurer,” Bennett said. “The time that I have devoted to the town has been memorable, and I appreciate the support that I have received. Thank you to the Town of Mulberry, and I wish everyone the best of luck in the future.”

Bennett achieved her re-election last November 2023 after running opposed in the General Election.

No information has been released by the Clinton County GOP and Clinton County Clerk’s Office regarding the process to fill the position as of 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5.
