The Red Barn Summer Theatre will premiere its second show of the 2024 season, “The Lone Star Love Potion” by Michael Parker on Wednesday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m.

A billionaire Texan has passed away and a hysterical collection of characters has been invited to the reading of the will. Jarvis the Butler follows the instructions of his deceased employer and reveals the existence of a secret formula for a powerful love potion—the aroma of which causes a person to become instantly irresistible. When the love potion is uncorked in a roomful of guests the action is hilarious, fast-paced and unpredictable.

Red Barn Artistic Director Michael Taylor is directing the show and will also play the role of Mr. Oakfield. He will be joined on stage by Madi Myers as Melody, Kody Horrocks as Patrice, Aaron Moon as Michael, Juliette Maners as Tammy-Jo, Stephanie Berger as Mary-Lou and Luke McLaughlin as Jarvis the Butler.

The Lone Star Love Potion, sponsored by Zachary Confections of Frankfort, will run June 26 to June 30 and July 3 to July 7. The Red Barn will be dark on July 4 to celebrate the holiday. Tickets are available now on-line at www.redbarntheatre.net or by calling the Box Office after 5 p.m. Wednesday to Saturday at 765-659-1657.
