Lebanon Fire Department Welcomes Two Work Based Learning Interns

The Lebanon Fire Department announced the welcoming of two Lebanon High School Work Based Learning Students who will act as interns for the department during the 2024-2025 school year to learn more about the profession and aid the firefighters with their tasks.

The department welcomed Lebanon High School student Carley Adams to the team as an intern, highlighting her dedication in school as a three-sport athlete, partaking in soccer, wrestling and track, alongside her aspiration to take on a hands-on career. This week, Adams learned the mechanics of setting up Ladder 213 alongside firefighters Spencer Kearns and Luke McQueen.

The department also welcomed Lebanon High School student Taylor O’Brien to the team as an intern, highlighting his passions for swimming and hands-on work and physical activity. The department praised O’Brien’s dedication to his academics, stating that he is at the top of his class and has expressed interest in pursuing a degree in Physics. This week, O’Brien has worked with Engine 212 B Shift on pack familiarization and an emergency run alongside firefighter Jacob McNair.
