Kirklin American Legion Collects Items For ‘Backpacks For Homeless Veterans Combating The Cold’ Project

The Kirklin American Legion has announced its new project to benefit homeless veterans within the state of Indiana following a tour of the LTHC Homeless Services facility earlier this year.

The Legion members stated that through the tour, they learned about the specific needs for homeless veterans and how the community is able to help during the winter months, sparking the launch of the Backpacks for Homeless Veterans Combating the Cold project.

“Please help bring dignity to those who have served by donating so our Hoosier Homeless veterans have their basic needs,” the Legion released. “Together, we can continue to provide the support and respect our veterans deserve.”
