Karen L. Seabolt, 82, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, May 3, 2024, at Milner Community Healthcare. She was born in Frankfort on April 26, 1942, to Noah and Eldena (Huffer) Miller. She married Pete Seabolt on August 7, 1960. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2014.
Karen was a 1960 graduate of Frankfort High School. She worked in Dr. Power’s office and then at Marsh Grocery Store until her retirement in 2011. She was a member of United Brethren Church in Rossville. She was supporter of the American Legion. She enjoyed knitting, doing crafts, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her children, Charles (Jan) Seabolt of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Jennie Shamp of Frankfort; grandchildren, Cody (Kelsey) Bennett, Ashley (Cody) Thompson and Hunter Seabolt; six great grandchildren, Parker, Jaxson, Hayden, Waylon, Hallie, Everett; and a special great nephew, Kail Miller.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, from 11am until the time of the service at 1pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Pastor Allen Weldy will officiate. Burial will follow at Bunnell Cemetery. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
