Judith “Judy” Alane Cox, 74, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at Wesley Manor. She was born December 30, 1949, in Clinton County to Bobby and Dorothy (Arion) Reed.
Judy was a 1968 graduate of Frankfort Senior High School. She worked for Mallory Controls until her retirement. She was baptized at First Baptist Church as a teenager and was a member for the majority of her years, and then attended Trader’s Point Northwest Church. Judy was a member of the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening, camping, reading books, coin collecting and spending time with her cats, Jessica and Petey. She loved spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Lori (Tom Chandler) Ostler and Lisa (Josh Gross) Shaff; sister, Norma (Allen) Melson; grandchildren, Ashley Shaff and Stephanie (Matthew) Miller, Sarah Ostler and James Ostler; and great grandchild, Grace Miller.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Philip and Michael Reed.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 2-4pm at Arborwood by Shoup’s. She will be laid to rest at Bunnell Cemetery. Day & Genda Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
