Janette Mae (Eller) Yost

Janette Mae (Eller) Yost was born on July 17, 1936, to Clarence and Lavina (Wagoner) Eller in Carroll County, Indiana. She was called to her eternal home on January 14, 2024, at Mulberry Health at the age of 87 years.

She and her husband, Gene Yost, were married on November 14, 1954, at her parent’s home near Flora, Indiana; they were blessed with 69 years together. Dad and Mom accepted Christ as their Savior and were baptized together in 1961 near Flora, Indiana, by Clem Skiles and fellowshipped at Cutler Ridge near Cutler, Indiana.

Mom’s love, care and kindness towards others always took precedence over her own life. The cheerful disposition she displayed during so many hardships was an encouragement to many.

She will be missed and remembered by her loving husband, who faithfully cared for her through several years of debilitating Multiple Sclerosis; her three sons, Jim (Bonnie), Jerald (Margaret) and Greg (Leslie Ainley); eight grandchildren with their spouses and many great-grandchildren; one brother, Dr. Alvan (Arlene) Eller and one half-sister, Rebecca (Van) Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Anna Belle (Shively) Eller; brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Berniece Yost and nephew, Dr. Doug Eller.

Visitation will be on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 2 – 5 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Day & Genda Funeral Home – Bodine Chapel 450 N State Road 39 in Rossville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, at the Cutler Ridge Old German Baptist Church New Conference near Cutler. The Home Brethren will officiate.
