Update-Indiana State Police Investigate Body Found on White River Parkway Property-Update

Wednesday evening, December 12th, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Indiana State Police officers were dispatched to the White River Parkway walking path to the report of a body found.

Officers located the body of a black female on the walking path near the intersection of Limestone and New York Street.

The investigation was delayed a short time while two K-9’s near the body were removed by Indianapolis Animal Control. The K-9’s appeared to be “protective” of the decedent and would not let investigative personnel approach.

This is still an active ongoing death investigation and no further information will be released as detectives continue to examine the circumstances surrounding Sherese Bingham’s death.
