The Boone County Communications E-911 Department urged drivers to exercise extreme caution this morning on all travels due to multiple reports of slide offs and accidents around Boone County as it remains under a yellow travel advisory.
The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that the I-65 northbound exit ramp between County Road 650 South and State Road 267 near Whitestown exit 133 was closed due to a multiple crashes as of 10:09 a.m. this morning, Monday, Jan. 6. The exit has now been reopened, but drivers are instructed to continue operating cautiously in the area.
Furthermore, as the INDOT plows are circulating around the state, drivers have been reminded to not “crowd the plow” by remaining aware of its blind spots and permitting the plow room to clear the roads in the most efficient way possible.
