Frankfort Library Hosts ‘Midwest Archives: Worthy Of More Than Just A Flyover’ Presentation May 10

The Frankfort Community Public Library has announced the upcoming “Midwest Archives: Worthy of More than Just a Flyover” presentation by Amber Oldenburg on May 10.

The presentation will be held at 3 p.m. on May 10 at the library with a cost of $5.

The Midwest is comprised of 11 states containing a vast array of collections. Between federal, state, local and university archives, the number of places to find records can be overwhelming to the family historian. The session will explore important Midwest archives while highlighting select records found within each repository.

Oldenburg is a genealogist, lecturer, and social media manager with a degree in Family History Research from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She currently serves as an online instructor for BYU Pathway. Her specialties are Midwest and Great Lakes states research.

The cost of this program is $5, and registration is required. To register, call 765-654-8746, visit myfcpl.org/calendar or stop by the library. For more information, contact Genealogy Manager Jill Garrison at 765-654-8746, ext. 1137 or jgarrison@myfcpl.org.
