The Frankfort Youth Baseball League 12U team has progressed to the championship game in Monticello that kicks off tonight, July 22 at 5:30 p.m. as the team views for the State Champion title after battling through a tough bracket on their way to the finals.
The league battled hard on Sunday as they lost a difficult game against Alexandria in the morning, lighting a fire in the players to battle against Bunker Hill where they claimed victory. The team members continued to exercise their strengths by defeating Alexandria to secure their position in the State Championship kicking off tonight at 5:30 p.m. in Monticello.
“Good luck boys, may the baseball gods look over you tonight,” the league released. “Win or lose, we are all very proud of everything you all accomplished the last three weeks. So go out there and have fun. And remember, base hits win ball games, not home runs.”
The game will kick off tonight at 4545 E. 100 N. in Monticello at the Twin Lakes Youth Sports Complex. Spectators are welcome to join the excitement.
