The IHSAA released the Sectional pairings for the football state tournament on Sunday.
Here is a look at where and when the local team will be playing.
1A – Sectional 46
With Tri-Central and Irvington Prep cancelling their seasons, Sectional 46 is left with just five teams.
Clinton Central draws the only first-round matchup against Cloverdale, with the winner taking on Indianapolis Tindley.
Clinton Prairie will take on Sheridan, and the winner will play for a Sectional Championship.
1A – Sectional 42
Carroll will play Winamac in the first round of Sectional 42. If they win, they’ll likely play Hoosier Heartland foe Taylor, who beat North White 64-0 earlier this season.
Pioneer, the team that sent the Cougars home early last season, is on the opposite side of the bracket against Caston.
Frontier, who remains undefeated, will play Tri-County.
2A – Sectional 34
Delphi draws a tough matchup against Southmont. The winner will take on the winner of a Monon Athletic Conference clash between North Putnam and Western Boone. The Stars beat North Putnam on Friday, 40-26.
On the other side of the bracket, Seeger will play Lafayette Central Catholic, with the winner getting either Lewis Cass or North Montgomery.
4A – Sectional 20
Frankfort gets the lone bye in Sectional 20. The Hot Dogs will most likely play against one of the hottest teams in 4A, the Lebanon Tigers.
The Tigers’ biggest competition for Sectional 20 comes from the other side of the bracket in Logansport, who plays Huntington North, and Muncie Central, who plays Marion.
The first round of Sectional play is Oct. 24, with round two coming Oct. 31 and Sectional Championships on Nov. 7.
